Hotel Ambadi - a 46 room theme resort situated  at the Periyar Tiger Reserves, is one of the first private sector resorts in Kerala. Designed by the world renowned architect Mr. Lauwrie Baker, the hotel was conceptualized  on the traditional architectural splendor of a typical  Kerala village, complete with  a thulasi thara and nallukettu. "Ambadi" as the name denotes is the birth place of Lord Krishna, the mythical god in the great epic of India - The Mahabharatha. The life of lord Krishna, the history, the myth, is the core theme of this resort. The resort is replete with references to the life of Lord Krishna.

Ambadi offers 46 well appointed rooms, under three different categories. The hotel has 24 independent cottages constructed in traditional Kerala ambience. 

*duplex rooms include a bedroom, an attached sitting room, balconies and a sit out. Rooms have a mache which is a masterpiece of  traditional Kerala architecture. *deluxe rooms include Attached sit outs, television, telephone, 24 hr hot water, and all other modern amenities *The cottages have balconies, sit outs, telephone, 24 hr running hot water, bathtubs and other facilities.
