In winters it is paradise for skiing and sledding and people who wish to venture out in snow and enjoy snow sports when there is a guaranteed snow . In summers Hikers/ Trekkers will find numerous marked walks and there are also mountain bike trails. at the backdrope of the resort lies the famous high altitude Gorson Reserve forest (part of Nanda Devi National Park ) richly habituated by rare Himalayan wildlife including snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Wild Boar, Wild Cat,Wild Rabbit, Jackal, Fox, Hyena and Beer. How to
reach AULI : By Air : Nearest Airport is Jolly Grant near Dehradun (280 Km). Indian Airlines fly thrice from Delhi and Jagson/Archna Airways also regulates their flights. Very soon a new airport at Gauchar (92 Km.) will be operational within a year. |
