Mountain Resort, Almora

Mountain Resort popularly known as Khali Estate is located in the Binsar Wild life Sanctuary near Ayarpani village in Almora district of Uttranchal. The Resort is situated on the top of a hill surrounded by pine and oak forest facing the vast panorama of the majestic snow clad mountains of the central Himalayas. The peaks visible from the Resort are Nanda Devi (25645 ft.), Nanda Ghunti, Trishul, Badrinath (Chaukhambha), Kedarnath, Gangotri, Shivling, Bandar punch, Kamat, Nanda Kote etc. 

Conference Facilities

Our conference hall can accomodate upto fifty people. The interiors are all wooden which matches with the environment.We also provide all the facilities for conferences like projectors, screens etc. For more on conference, please write to us or mail us. 

By Air
From Mumbai or Calcutta to Delhi (Delhi being the nearest airport) and from here by road or rail(look below).

By Road
Mountain Resort is approximately 370Kms. from Delhi. The motor road passes through Moradabad,, Rampur, Rudrapur,, Haldwani, Kathgodam, Bhowali, Garampani, Almora. Beyond Almora the rote turns through Kasardevi, Kaparkhan, Binsar Santuary gate to Mountain Resort.

By Rail
From Mumbai(C.S.T.) to Agra or Mathura by Punjab Mail From Agra or Mathura to Lalkua by Kumoun Express (Mountain Resort is aprx. 125Kms. from Lalkua) Taxis are easily available at Lalkua which can drop you to the Resort. Atternatively, by Rajdhani Express to Delhi (or any train) and from Delhi by an overnight train (Ranikhet Express) to Kathgodam. Taxis are easily available at Kathgodam which can drop you to Mountain Resort. (Aprox. distance from Kathgodam to Mountain Resort is 110Kms

Excursions

A trip to Binsar- Hill
This famous hill- top is only 9km from Mountain resort. It is connected by an excellent black- top motor- road.
The Summit of Binsar is almost 8000 feet high and the tourist can have a good view of the snow-clad mountains. The peaks visible on a clear day, include Gangotri, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Shivling, Neelkanth, Trishul, Nanda Devi etc.

A trip to Jageshwar
The Well Known Shrine of Jageshwar is located 40 km from Almora town and 57Km from our Mountain Resort.
The thousand year old temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlingams of India and it has exquisitely carved images.
The temple is situated amidst a luxuriant Deodar forest. This is a full day excursion. Packed lunch will be served at Dandeshwar near Jageshwar. Leave Mountain resort at about 8-30 a.m. after breakfast and return to Mountain Resort in the evening.

A Round trip Excursion
This is a full- day excursion covering Bageshwar, Baij Nath and kausani.
At Bageshwar there is a charming confluence of Sarayu and Gomati rivers. The ancient temple of Bagh- Nath is located at this confluence.At Baij Nath, the tourist will see the exquisite eight footimage of Godess Parvati.
From Kausani, the tourists may be able to view the snow- mountains, and visit the Anasakti- Ashram where Mahatma Gandhi wrote his commentary on the Gita.
Packed lunch at Kausani.
Return to Mountain Resort( Khali Estate) in the evening.

A trip to Ranikhet
This is a full day excursion to the famous hillstation of Ranikhet. 
Ranikhet is one of the cleanest and most attractive hill station at about 6000ft. Visit the Chaubatia gardens and the Haidakhan temple.
Packed Lunch at Ranikhet and return to Mountain Resort in the evening.
Taxi charges will be extra.
