Shree Hari resort
is the only accommodation available at Mukteshwar (0 Milestone) and
has an open view of the forest in the front side and of valley on
towards of the rear of the resort. It is surrounded by thick
coniferous forest as seen from the front side of the rooms.
The forest starts at a distance of just 15 meters from the rooms. You also get a panoramic view of the Himalayas through the towering Deodar trees. The place is also frequented by wild animals and you can even get a glimpse of Tiger, incidentally Mukteshwar has been traditionally frequented by Tigers & Leopards as has been adequately covered in the famous book "The Man Eaters of Kumaon" in 1944 by Jim Corbett. |

About Resort
The Shree Hari Resort is the only resort in the vicinity which has open view of a valley also. The “Sunset Point” inside the resort has a panoramic view of small villages & settlements of the valley. At night these settlements seem to glitter like tiny diamonds. Standing the sunset point you will feel as a magical book has been opened in front of you and it is revealing its secrets, a truly divine experience In fact it is nature from sunrise till sunset . The view point gives a bird eye view of valley. As can be seen from our place. In fact, you'll have a 1800 view of lustrous hills spread with settlements. At night the glowing lights of these villages are just awesome. If you are fortunate enough you could see the occasional shooting starts at Night, while enjoying the warmth of the bonfire. The experience is further enhanced by soothing music. |

Places Of Interest
“MUKTESHWAR DHAM” (One of the eighteen temples of – “Lord Shiva”) : One of the renowned places of worship is the ‘Mukteshwar Mahadev” temple, situated in mountains of Nainital district, on the ancient “Lohit Giri” ranges. “Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple” is 2300m above sea level. The temple holds a lot of significance for the devotees of Lord Shiva and remains a center of attraction. As narrated in Puranas, it is one of the 18 main temples of Lord Shiva. Though situated among high mountain peaks, the divine music of the temple bells and sound of the holy shanks can be heard at a distance. The second is the music for the souls that attract the devotees of Lord Shiva who stop at the temple and only resume their journey after paying their homage. It is also believed that couples longing to be blessed for a child with mud lamps in their hand also offer prayers here. CHAULI KI JALI : Right below the “Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple” lies the famous “Chauli ki Jali” standing on steep edged rock forming a round hollow. It is said if anybody passes safely from the “Chauli ki Jali” is blessed by Lord Shiva and all his prayer are answered by the almighty. It is also believed that in olden times pilgrims going to “Kailash Mansarovar” used to surrender themselves to the almighty. “Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple”. It’s an ideal place to experience spiritual peace and tranquility. A place, which is a symbol of faith, trust and worship. A combination to rejuvenate mind and soul. |
